Gluten Free Thai Menu

An extensive gluten free menu at Doncaster's specialist Thai restaurant. Curries, salads, soups, noodle dishes and stir fries, freshly cooked by Rin in our 67 Copley Road kitchen.

Thai cooking already lends itself well to gluten free diners. Rice noodles, fresh herbs, coconut milk, lime, fish sauce, chillies, lemongrass, galangal - very little of the traditional Thai pantry contains wheat. The risk usually sits with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a handful of seasoning bases, all of which we either swap or have already verified as gluten free.

Always let our team know when you order if you have coeliac disease or a gluten sensitivity. Rin will prepare your dish with full care - clean wok, gluten free soy sauce, and no shared cooking surfaces.

Curries

All six Thai curries are gluten free. We use Mae Ploy curry pastes imported from Thailand - chillies, lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, garlic, shrimp paste and spices. No wheat, no thickeners. Curries are simmered with coconut milk and finished in the wok per order.

Green Curry
Coconut milk, Thai aubergine, sweet basil. Choose chicken, beef, prawn, tofu or vegetable.
Red Curry
Bamboo shoots, sweet basil, kaffir lime. Rich coconut base with a deeper heat.
Yellow Curry
Mild and aromatic with turmeric, potato and onion. The gentlest Thai curry.
Massaman Curry
Slow-simmered with potato, peanut and tamarind. Southern Thai, mildly spiced.
Panang Curry
Thicker, richer and slightly sweet, with kaffir lime leaves and chilli.
Jungle Curry
No coconut milk - a clear, fiery broth with vegetables and Thai herbs.

Salads

Naturally gluten free across the board. Fresh herbs, lime, fish sauce and chilli - traditional Thai salads with no wheat anywhere.

Thai Side Salad (Yum Pak)
Fresh leaves with a light Thai dressing.
Papaya Salad (Som Tam)
Green papaya, lime, palm sugar, chilli, peanuts. The classic Isaan salad.
Cucumber Salad (Tam Taeng)
Crunchy cucumber with a tangy, spicy dressing.
Spicy Seafood Salad
Mixed seafood with lime, chilli, coriander and fresh herbs.
Spicy Yum Wun Sen
Glass noodles (mung bean), prawns, mince, peanuts, chilli, lime.
Laab Pork
Minced pork with toasted rice powder, mint, chilli and lime. Northeastern Thai.
Nam Tok Pork
Sliced grilled pork in a smoky, herbaceous Isaan dressing.

Soups

Tom Yum and Tom Kha use Mae Ploy paste (gluten free) and a fresh stock. Glass noodle soup uses mung bean noodles - naturally wheat-free.

Tom Yum Soup
Hot and sour with lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, mushroom and chilli.
Tom Kha Soup
Coconut and galangal broth with lime, lemongrass and mushroom. Mild and creamy.
Grang Jead Won Sen
Clear soup with glass noodles, vegetables and mince.

Noodle Dishes

Rice noodles are naturally gluten free. We use gluten free soy sauce in place of regular soy when you let us know - just mention it when ordering.

Pad Thai
Rice noodles, tamarind sauce mixed fresh per order, beansprouts, peanut, lime.
Pad See Eew
Wide rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, egg, seared in a hot wok.
Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles)
Wide rice noodles with chilli, basil, garlic and Thai herbs. Fiery.
Seafood Pad Kee Mao
Mixed seafood version of our drunken noodles.
Laad Naah
Wide rice noodles in a savoury gravy with Chinese broccoli.

Stir Fries

All available gluten free with our soy sauce swap. Our oyster sauce is Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Gluten Free Oyster Sauce - certified GF, no wheat. Crispy belly pork is fried in dedicated fresh oil with no flour coating, so cross-contamination is not a concern.

Pad Khing
Stir fried with fresh ginger, spring onion, mushroom and chilli.
Garlic & Pepper Stir Fry
Pungent garlic, cracked black pepper, soy.
Thai Sweet & Sour
Pineapple, peppers, tomato, cucumber, onion in a tangy sweet sauce.
Pad Prik
Chilli paste, peppers, onion and Thai herbs. Properly spicy.
Cashew Nut Stir Fry
Roasted cashews, peppers, mushroom, dried chilli, spring onion.
Mixed Vegetable Stir Fry
Seasonal vegetables in a light garlic and oyster sauce.
Oyster Sauce Stir Fry
Mushroom, broccoli and onion in our gluten free oyster sauce.
Crispy Belly Pork (Moo Krob)
Available with any compatible sauce. Fried in dedicated fresh oil.
Protein options All stir fries can be ordered with chicken, beef, prawn, tofu or mixed vegetables. Crispy belly pork can be added to any compatible dish.

All rice dishes are naturally gluten free. Fried rice variants need a gluten free soy swap - just let us know.

Jasmine Rice
Fragrant Thai jasmine rice, steamed.
Coconut Rice
Jasmine rice steamed with coconut milk.
Sticky Rice
Traditional Northeastern Thai sticky rice, steamed.
Egg Fried Rice
Wok-fried with egg, spring onion and gluten free soy.
Special Fried Rice
With chicken, prawn, pork and egg.
Thai Omelette
Fluffy Thai-style omelette with fish sauce. Naturally gluten free.

How Our Kitchen Handles Gluten Free

Rin has been cooking Thai food across South Yorkshire for over ten years. She's careful about ingredients and takes dietary requirements seriously. Here's how we handle gluten free orders in practice.

Verified ingredients

Mae Ploy curry pastes and tom yum paste imported from Thailand - both confirmed gluten free. Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Sauce - certified gluten free on the label.

Soy sauce swap

Tell our team you need gluten free when ordering. We swap regular soy for gluten free soy sauce in any noodle, stir fry or fried rice dish that uses it.

Dedicated fryer

Our crispy belly pork is fried in fresh, dedicated oil with no flour coating - just salt-cured pork belly. Zero cross-contamination from battered or wheat-coated items.

Cooked to order

Every dish is cooked fresh in a clean wok per order. Rin tastes and adjusts as she cooks, and she'll personally make sure your gluten free order is prepared with full care.

Dishes we cannot offer gluten free

To be straight with you, two of our menu sections rely on seasoning bases that contain wheat. We won't put these on the gluten free list:

  • Pad Kra Pao dishes (the Thai basil stir fry base sauce contains gluten)
  • Noodle Soup Dark and Light (the soup powder base contains gluten)

Everything else above is either naturally gluten free or made gluten free with a soy sauce swap. If you're unsure about anything, please ask us when you order - we'd rather check than guess.

Common Questions

Is your gluten free menu suitable for coeliacs?
We take coeliac requirements seriously and prepare gluten free orders with care - clean wok, gluten free soy sauce, dedicated fryer for crispy belly pork. Always tell our team when you order so Rin can prepare your dish properly. We work in a kitchen that handles wheat in some dishes (notably Pad Kra Pao and Noodle Soups), so if you have severe coeliac disease please let us know and we'll talk it through with you.
Do I need to call ahead?
No need to book in advance for gluten free orders. Just mention it when you arrive, when you call, or when ordering through our delivery service - we handle gluten free orders every week.
Are the curry pastes really gluten free?
Yes - we use Mae Ploy, one of the cleanest authentic Thai curry paste brands. Their pastes contain chillies, lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, garlic, shrimp paste, salt and spices. No wheat, no modified starches, no thickeners.
Can I order gluten free for delivery or takeaway?
Yes - just tell us when you call to order on 01302 210408. We deliver across Doncaster and up to 8 miles for £2. Card payments by phone for collection and delivery.
What about other allergies?
Please tell us when you order. We can adapt many dishes for nut, egg, dairy and shellfish allergies, and we have a comprehensive vegan menu too. Always let our team know in advance so Rin can prepare your dish with full care.
