Wheatley sits at the eastern end of the central ridge that runs through Doncaster. The area covers a lot - from the Victorian terraces near Christ Church through to the post-war estates and the residential streets running up to Sandall Park (at 69 acres, one of the biggest parks in Doncaster, and properly part of the Wheatley story). The Cheshire Cheese pub on Church Way dates back to 1821; Nether Hall is one of the oldest surviving structures in the whole borough. It is a layered, settled area, and orders come from across all of it.

A short walk or drive over
Because Wheatley is so close, plenty of our customers there come in to dine rather than ordering delivery. From most of Wheatley you are looking at a 25 to 30 minute walk to Copley Road, or a five-minute drive. The five tables fill quickly on Friday and Saturday evenings - book a table ahead.
The cafe is also a short walk from the Wool Market, which is worth knowing if you are meeting friends from elsewhere in town. Bring your own bottle - no corkage - which works well for the wine-bringing crowd Wheatley has plenty of.
